The Border Downs and Tintinara Football Clubs amalgamated in 1993 and were the first club in country South Australia to adopt the colours of the Adelaide Crows. Home games were shared between Coonalpyn and Tintinara which they still are to this day. This was brought about by the withdrawal of the Tintinara Football Club, who were struggling for senior grade footabllers, from the Tatiara Football League, which also contributed to the almagamation of the Tatiara League with the Kowree Naracoorte Football League.
Barry Moore was appointed President of the Border Downs Tintinara Football Club for the inaugural season, whilst Lindsay Warner, a past coach and player of the Border Downs club was appointed Senior Coach.
The club won it's first game against Meiningie by 27 points and competed in the finals series that season, losing the elimination final to Tailem Bend. New recruit Greg Stephenson went on to win the River Murray Football Leagues Mail Medal. The B grade created history that year by winning the Grand Final in the first year as an amalgamated club.
The only other Premierships won in the RMFL were the Under 17's in 1997 and 2001.
In 2002 the Border Downs Tintinara Football Club moved to the Mallee Football League finding immediate success in senior football by winning the B grade premierships in both 2002 and 2003 under coach Greg Kennett. During that period the Under 16's won the 2003 flag. Past juniors coach David Head was appointed as Senior Coach in 2002 and took the club to it's first A grade flag in 2004 by defeating Murrayville by 132 points. This was after losing the first four games in a row in that season.
In 2006 Greg Kennett took on the Senior Coaching duties and again took the club to premierships winning both the 2006 and 2007 A grade flags.
