The season kicks off at KingsPark on Saturday with the 2016 Premiership flag being unfurled as we take on Mitcham. The Reserves kick the day off at 12.05pm followed by the Seniors at 2:10pm while the U19’s have a bye this week. All past players and supporters are invited to attend and help the club start the year in a positive fashion as we move back into 2nd Division. Stay around after the senior game to chat and catch-up while listening to music from 5:30pm until 9:30pm, as well there will be a happy hour from 7:30pm. Training this week is at DobsonPark with the players heading back to KingsPark for meals and selection, this is due to the council over-sowing of the ground. The juniors, both boys and girls, started last week with good results by all sides especially the U11’s, U12’s, U13’s and U16 Girls teams all winning while the U15’s went down by a point to South Croydon with Corey Mitchell kicking five goals. In other good performances Tate Scrivanos kicked 8 goals for U12’s against Kilsyth while Kaitlyn Roleff and Tiarna Searle both kicked 5 goals for the girls U16 side against Heathmont. The juniors now have two weeks off with the EasterSchool holidays. The three Netball teams performed well in their first grading games last week and will continue again this week with grading games before starting their season after Easter, see fixture below for this week’s games.
