Popular barman and Club stalwart, Ken Sumner, was awarded Life Membership of the Clayton Sporting Club today. He is only the second person, after Bill Jennings (dec.), to receive Life Membership in the Sporting Club's 36 year history.
Ken has been the barman at the Meade Reserve Social Rooms since 1977. He first started behind the bar with his Dad, Alby Sumner and then from 1982 he was joined by Bill Jennings.
Ken's commitment to the Sporting Club has been magnificent, serving both the Footy and Cricket Clubs from behind the bar most weekends during his long and dedicated service.
His Life Membership will be presented at the Clayton Football & Netball Club Presentation Night later in the year.
A big congratulations from all of us at CFNC Ken!
