The Mitcham Football Club is extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Winterton as our Senior playing coach for season 2015. Neil brings a wealth of experience as a coach and a player having played 160 Senior VFL games and more recently Div 1 & 2 football in the EFL (Mulgrave & Bayswater).
Senior Club President Matt McCubbin said of the appointment “I believe Neil is exactly the right fit for where the club is situated now and headed in the future. We have a talented senior list that runs deep into our Reserves and Under 19's, so the reality is the club needs to take that next step while we are in a position to do so. Neil will inject some talent and experience in our midfield from a playing sense but will also lead our boys in a structured and professional manner as senior coach in what should be an exciting time for the entire club"
Neil had this to say "Really excited to get the opportunity to coach a club that his heading in the right direction both on and off field. I can't wait to get stuck into training and help the boys take the next step and enjoy the success this club deserves"
The club would like to thank Russell Witherow & Brad Slater for being part of the selection panel
