First up on Saturday morning were the Rising Stars Men, hoping to continue the success of the First Grade Women the night before. After a hard fought match, with scores level heading into the fourth, the Demons went down to the Tuggeranong Hawks 7.10.52 to 9.8.62 at Manuka Oval. The Demons will front up to Ainslie on Sunday 25 August at Allinsure Park.

Later in the afternoon, the First Grade Men breezed their way through the game with a win over the Hawks 26.22.178 to 4.5.29. The Demons took out the win with 26 goals on the day, with five apiece from Dean Biermann and Michael Peterson, and four from Daniel Potts. The First Grade Men take on the Queanbeyan Tigers on Sunday 25 August at Allinsure, needing a win to keep their finals dreams alive.

As the sun set at Manuka Oval, the Second Grade Men continued the weekend's successes with a win over the Hawks: 26.10.166 to 2.1.13. Joey Kerin and Patrick Sharp both put in a mammoth effort, with eight and seven goals respectively, landing them both in the match's top players. The Second Grade Men head into the finals with a game against the Belconnen Magpies at Alan Ray Oval on Saturday 24 August.

Rounding out the weekend, the inaugural Second Grade Women's team played their first semi final match at Adero Law Nest in Belconnen, taking the win over the Belconnen Magpies: 4.5.29 to 1.3.9. Applying the pressure, the Demons kept the Magpies to only 1 point in the first half, while 2 goals from Tanya Taylor saw her named among the game's best. On Saturday 24 August, they'll take on the Riverina Lions at Footy Park for a shot at the big one.
