FEMALE AFL PLAYERS WANTED – COME AND TRY DAY, FRIDAY 20/02/2015.
Where: Don Small Oval, Wolseley Avenue, Tacoma
When: Friday 20 February 2015 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm
2015 will see the Inaugural Black Diamond AFL (BDAFL) Women's competition played between teams in the Great Newcastle area and one Central Coast team, Wyong Lakes Magpies.
Six clubs have indicated they are entering teams, with five from the greater Newcastle area being Newcastle City, Nelson Bay, Warners Bay, Maitland and Lake Macquarie. The competition starting on the 2nd of May 2015.
Wyong Lakes Magpies are only Central Coast club to nominate a team and would be the only central coast club with a women's team playing in a local league. Games will be played on Saturday in line with the existing BDAFL men's competition.
Female players players aged from 16 to 96 are welcome to come along and have a go, no experience is necessary and there is no obligation. AFL staff will be on hand to show you some skills and answer any questions.
For those ladies that do decide to play registration if only $50 for the whole winter season, with no weekly on going coasts.
