Bryan Wood played his junior football at Blackburn and was captain of the Under 15's. He progressed to have a wonderful career at Richmond where he played 209 games in their golden era, captaining the club in 1981. He played in four Grand Finals for the Tigers winning flags in 1973, 1974 and 1980 before moving on to play a further 68 games with Essendon. At the Dons, Bryan played in another three Grand Finals winning two for a career total of five premierships and 277 VFL/AFL games.
