PLAYERS AT CENTRAL DISTRICTS
The club is extremely proud to have 10 players from our club who are down at Central Districts. This is an outstanding achievement for the players and our club but reflects on the strong Junior development within our club. We hope they can achieve at the highest level possible and if that means back at our club we know that they will be better players for their experience.
Nathan Emes
Nathan really developed in confidence last year playing in his first year at "A" level and was encouraged by Roger James to have a crack at SANFL level. Has been playing as an "over-age" player in U18s as a tall forward and looks comfortable at this level. Reports from Centrals are very encouraging that Nathan may be soon be given an opportunity at Reserves level.
Ben Cummings
Centrals have huge wraps on Benny and see him as a long-term prospect. A strong and reliable defender in U18s who has a bright future at Elizabeth.
Jarrod Traynor
Used as a utility who has held a regular spot in the U18s side this season. A well balanced, highly skilled player who Centrals are keen to develop to senior level.
Hayden Traynor
Unfortunately out for the season with a shoulder injury. Hayden is a key tall defender who Centrals are very excited about for future development.
Dolton Curtis
Has been used as a utility with on-ball roles but limited this year due to restricted training availability and has been a valuable inclusion in our BDFC U17s team when not selected at Centrals.
Brad Traynor
Has been training regularly with Centrals but hasn't been selected to play U18's as yet. Brad has been a top performer with our U17s this year and has a prodigious kick and very strong marking presence. We have used him in U17s in a variety of roles and Brad always produces good results.
Will Aylett
Another player unlucky not to get match time at CDFC, Will is a desperate, hard-running, "crazy" player who never gives up and is rarely beaten in a contest. Must be close to a call up as he is in our best players nearly every week.
Ryan Rowe
Had some time with CDFC U16s and is now back with BDFC full-time as the U16s season is completed. A talented player who has good skills and attacks the ball and opponent fiercely.
Brae McConnell
A new recruit to BDFC currently injured but with enormous ability as a tall midfielder - ruckman who covers the ground easily, has a huge engine and takes a great contested mark. BDFC is very excited to have him signed but Centrals will be keeping a very close eye on his progress and see him as a future long-term player for them. Played in the U16s this season but will possibly get a call up to play U18s if he can recover sufficiently from injury.
Giles O'Driscoll
Was training with CDFC U18s but not given any match day opportunities this year and appears to now be settled back at BDFC as a regular "A" Grade player.
