Back on the hallowed turf of Galvin Park or the "Duck Pond" as some call it as we welcome everyone from "Winch" to what should be some close and interesting encounters in both Football & Netball. Hope you all had a safe trip and enjoy our hospitality for the day as you make the longest trip in the GDFL. The Winch people are going to stay with us after the match so please all players and supporters come back into the club and enjoy the hospitality.
A clean sweep for the club last week at Anakie in all nine games and it been a long time since this has happened. Congratulations to the U 15 girls, another win making it two in a row. We are on a roll. We must congratulate Wayne and the people at Anakie on the condition of the grounds and your hospitality of course. Well done.
A strong last quarter saw the senior record a good win as did the A Grade Netball. The Reserves just continue to play good football and are pushing some of the seniors for their positions now which is good.
Membership Tickets are now available from any of the committee/canteen or the bar and they again include membership to both the Italian Sports Club Werribee and Buckleys in Geelong so they are great value for $40.00 as they also get you into all home & away games so are really mandatory for all our supporters. Players need to finalise theirs with either Shane Grigg or Danny O'Malley now.
Players who do not have a sponsor yet need to have these in place urgently. Football is $300- and Netball $200- and includes your membership fee. Good value as your sponsor receives two membership tickets as well as promotional advertising of their business so try and get one together for both yourself and your club. Come on we need some more to commit now and give us time to advertise your sponsor.
Last week was OP Shop Night another compulsory Function. Obviously many do not know what compulsory means or what support for your club, your mates and members mean. How do you expect the club to fund you, yes you, play your chosen sport if you do not show support for the club. The next event is the $1000- draw which has been rescheduled to the 30th May and everyone has to sell/buy a ticket so if you have not received yours see Joe Pace or Adam Bills today. Don't leave it till the last moment to sell them.
To everyone who runs out this year for our great club hope you have had a enjoyable year as all we ask is for you to enjoy yourself, support your mates and your club and give your very best and be proud to wear the Green & Gold. Be a good Centurion.
We welcome another new sponsor to the club in the MYNT LOUNGE in Watton Street Werribee. Thanks to James and the boys for your support. Go to our website and click on MYNT's name and it will take you straight there. Go and have a meal, a quiet night out with friends or later just rage until late. MYNT can satisfy all these requirements. Please use them when you can.
