A Grade
Werribee Centrals 49 vs Thomson 28
A fantastic result for our A grade side, with their 3rd straight GDFL premiership. A whole team effort Centrals hit the ground running and didn't look back until the final whistle. Defensive hands and intercepts were strong, combining fast moving feet from Amanda Wilson and Gemma Grimmond Thomson found it hard to feed the goalers and find any rebounds. Goaling combination Ellie Tubbs and Madeline Hogson found great form, moving the ball between each other & sometimes swapping roles. The ends as always were linked by Centrals A Grade mid court, Nicole Stewart- who was playing her 200th game, Amy Giaini- who was later named Best On Court by the umpires and Janelle Bragg- who in her second year of A Grade has cemented her position on court, all three 'middies' put physical defensive pressure in every spot on the court & provided strong leads and back up for the attacking end. You can find some great articles leading up to the game and today in the Geelong Addy & also local papers. Well done girls! Amazing job.

As always our team new it was going to be hard to get a win over a strong Inverleigh side. Credit to our girls who pushed all game and fought hard. All though the final score doesn't show a win, coaches Megan Smith and Samantha Dean are proud that the girls played four strong quarters of netball and didn't lie down.
