Centrals were looking for two in a row something they have not been able to do in 2015 in their Past Players Day Game against Geelong West at Galvin Park. Its always a special day with all the past players present and this year with a guest appearance from the Kangaroos champion in Anthony Stevens things looked bright, well that was, until the footy started. The supporters and past players would have very disappointed in what they saw in the first half as mistake after mistake allowed West to go into the big break well up. Turnovers were being costly and the fact the side had to look for short options all the time was proving their downfall as they were cut off and giving the opposition a run at the goals.
Whatever happened at half time made the difference as the players started to get some run into their legs and attack the ball and make a game of it. Five goals to none for the third quarter brought Centrals back into the game and difference seemed to be the strong work of Ty Montebruno who was presenting much better up forward. Now all that was needed was to continue that form into the last and with all players now showing the endeavor needed and the run to push the ball forward at all costs they were able to overrun Wests and record a good win. Certainly a 11 goal to 1 second half brought the game alight and secured the win that was needed.
Final Scores:- Werribee Centrals 16.7 - 103 to Geelong West 10.14 - 74
Goal Kickers:- D Boyd 4, L Cachia 3, T Montebruno 3, D Todaro 3, K Butty 2 & S Confait 1.

The Reserves also needing a good win were well held in the first quarter by Geelong West and looked to struggle against the bigger West side. As the game wore on the Centrals young runners started to get into the match and it was this run on game style that over the next three quarters allowed Centrals to get some momentum going and run out good winners in the end. You can tell the younger players are starting to get some confidence in the game plan and with the older heads around them the likes of Adrian Anderson, Aaron Foster, Luke Gibbs and Justin Wilson are playing some good footy.
Final Scores:- Werribee Centrals 17.13 – 115 to Geelong West 3.8 – 26
Goal Kickers:- L Gibbs 5, J Cailes 3, M Patterson 3, J Fraser 2, K Trovato & A Anderson 1 each.
Best Players:- A Anderson, M DeLuca, J Cailes, A Foster, L Gibbs, J Wilson & M Patterson.
