Round 8 Match Reports
SENIORS
Tough game for the senior boys again this weekend against Belconnen. The boys started slow again which once again put us behind going into the second half. To the boys credit though we came out in the second half like a new side with fewer mistakes and things just started to work. We brought it home with an awesome fourth quarter, out scoring and outplaying the Belconnen side; we definitely showed that we can match these sides when we play well together as a team. Benny Cleaver continued his good form from last week with an outstanding performance, Malcolm Fernie showed what he can do down back which earned him the players player award, Ashley Pocock started forward but was forced to move back to his spot in the backline and continued his consistent form. Kurt Masters continued his form this season with another solid performance at centre half forward, Jimmy Rice came back into some good form this week after being put under the pump from the coaching staff hopefully he can continue on for the rest of the year and Sammy Travillian showed signs of what he will be able to do in this side with his debut to senior footy.

RESERVES
A good win by the boys in reserves this weekend against Belconnen Magpies, the reserve grade boys were simply better throughout the game. It started out as a bit of a shootout in the first quarter but even then the guys were on top of the Magpies. The remaining three quarters belonged to Tuggeranong lead by a solid mid field of Alex Lawder, Johnny Roache, and James Kuhn. The boys were looking confident moving the footy and delivering well to our forwards, Pete Scheerin after getting dropped from first grade this week took it on the chin and was solid down back, Scotty Newhouse, and Charlie Prowse were also very good back there. In the end it was a great effort as a unit that made the boys come out on top.
