Round 7 - Another Pleasant Sunday in the Park (mostly)
Round 7 provided another pleasant Sunday in the park (mostly) with a few wins, some draws and a couple of losses…
The under 9s started the day with wins to both the Blues and Golds with the tight defence of the Blues getting them over the line while the goal-scoring prowess of the Gold summoned up a win:
U9 Blue won 2-1 over Ashburton Women (with Elwen P scoring both goals)
U9 Gold won 5-4 over Clifton Hill (with Charli scoring all goals)
The U11 Joeys fought out a 2-2 draw against South Melbourne and the Kangas went down 3-2 against Sandringham.
The U12 Joeys earned a 3-3 draw against Glen Waverley and held on to 3rd spot on the ladder.
U13/14 C had a 1-0 win over South Melbourne and are sitting at 7th on the ladder.
U13/14 B also had a 1-0 win over Ringwood City and now sit 2nd on the ladder, currently our highest performing team.
U15/16 B had an unexpected and disappointing loss to Yarra Jets after a n excellent win the week before and a half time scoreline of 0-0. They are now 8th on the ladder.
U18s had a weekend off with the bye and are 5th on the ladder.
