SENIOR AND MASTERS REGISTRATION

The Winter 2024 season for Seniors & Masters will run from:

Women and Masters – 23 April 2024 – 3 September 2024 for a total of 19 rounds

Mens – 24 April 2024 – 4 September 2024 for a total of 19 rounds.

All Senior / Masters competitions will have 2 weeks of finals following these dates.

ALL registrations must be made through the PlayHQ Registration Portal.

Players cannot be allocated to a team or take the court until registration is completed.

Note" If a player decides to play in both Lions Seniors and Masters competitions, the player must register in both competitions to be allocated to teams. First, register for one competition, and then obtain a voucher from club senior delegate, which will then exclude the player paying the $10 Lions Club Fee a second time when registering for the second competition.

SENIOR / MASTERS FEES

The Lions Committee has reviewed the Club fees and due to some successful applications for Grants we have been able to keep the Lions Club Fee to $10.00.

Fee Payment

This season the fee will be collected during the Play HQ registration process on the payment page.

FEE STRUCTURE

Costs associated with registering to the 2024 Winter Season are as follows:

Basketball Victoria Licence Fee: $43*

*The Basketball Victoria Licence Fee is charged by Basketball Victoria once a year. This fee is compulsory to play basketball anywhere in Victoria and the Club is unable to offer discounts on this fee. If the fee is due to expire at any time during the season you are currently registering to, it will be charged on the payment screen.

Basketball Australia: $5.50

**Game Development Levy – the Game Development Levy is being implemented by Basketball Australia to support the growth and development of basketball at all levels of the game and to enhance opportunities for the sport. This fee will be charged once per year. More information can be found at:

Sunbury Basketball Association Admin Fee: $20

Lions Club Fee: $10

OTHER FEES

Weekly Team sheet fee: $90 + Team pay fee.

This fee is paid via the Team Pay App as a lump sum. The captain/team manager is responsible for setting this up and ensuring the payment is sent through prior to each game. All players are to contribute equally to this payment each week.

Walkover Fees:

If a team is unable to provide 4 players to participate in any round, a walkover will be declared. Fees apply to walkovers and are to be paid by the team. ALL players are responsible for meeting this requirement. If unable to do so the Club MUST be contacted as soon as possible to determine a solution. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal of the team from the competition. The applicable fees are outlined below.

If a walkover is likely, please contact the Club Senior Delegate (if unavailable Secretary or President) to determine if we can provide a fill-in player to avoid incurring walkover fees.

By-Law 3.2 Notified:

Advice of walkover must be submitted to the SBA Domestic Competition Officer via e-mail as follows: -

Tuesday night Masters’ and Seniors, no later than 10.00 am on the Monday prior to round.

Wednesday night Seniors, no later than 10.00 am on the Tuesday prior to round.

Un-notified walkover (notified after the times above or not notified at all) = $170 fee

Notified walkovers (within the time frames above) = $100 fee
