Why has the ACE Five a Side become the largest outdoor comp in the State....? because we have many teams in each age group, our program is fun for everyone, played on great fields and facilities. We use qualified referees for older age groups, seniors and over 35's. Our organisation is second to none and the program encourages families to have fun in the off-season as families.... and by the way we have great prizes as well! Come and find out for yourself
ACE proudly holds an annual, off-season Five-A-Side outdoor competition. It is available to players aged: 4-16, open seniors and over 35 men and women. Running since 2007 and open to anyone, this competition is now one of the largest in Brisbane with 115 teams competing across all ages in 2012. The competition is open to players from all clubs and schools, however all Junior Players must be a registered Football Player. If you are not a registered FB player in 2014, we can arrange registration for you for a small fee to cover the cost of registration and insurance. WE ARE WAITING ON INFO FROM FOOTBALL QLD RE THIS.
ACE is proud to bring off-season football to the local Community as part of our commitment to bring football to the community all year round. Our off-season competition is made up of 5 separate competitions based on the similar format and structure as per below.
The KINDY Competition |
Open to all children aged 4 and 5. Introduced in 2011 by popular demand this competition was terrific fun and this year it will be bigger and better. |
The U6 to U11 Competition |
Open to players aged 6 to 11 from all divisions including boys and girls. This can include mixed teams if required. |
The U12 to U16 Competition |
Open to players aged 12 to 16 from all divisions including boys and girls. This can include mixed teams if required. |
THE OPEN Competition |
Open to players of U18 up, looking for a high level competition in the off-season. You will play against football players from Premier, Division 1, 2, Under 18's, 19's and City League. We will accept registrations for mixed teams in the Open Competition. If demand is high for mixed teams in the Open competition then the coordinator will look at creating a mixed competition within the Open competition. Register team and details and you will be advised at a later date if the competition has been split. |
The OVER 35's Competition |
This is a great competition for the Mums and Dads who taxi their children around the city and sit on the sideline during the season. This competition is social in nature allowing over 35's to retain their fitness and passion for football. You can enter either the Social comp group or the Competitive Group depending on your skills. This year, the Over 35's comp is open to CORPORATE TEAMS, so get organised and get involved in a fun sport. |

REGISTRATION
- You are more than welcome to register as an individual if you do not have a team together. When you register and it asks you for Team Name - just put in that space "Allocate to Team" and we will place you in a team.
- If you have a team together - you can either register the entire team (and pay the entire team) OR they can go on individually and do their registrations BUT make sure you have a team name and you enter that when prompted so that we put you all in the one team.
Please note that whilst you can register for the Five a side competition online you cannot register for the Football Queensland component online if you have not played for a Football Brisbane Club or Football Queensland Club in 2014. FQ registrations must be done in person prior to your first game. All Open and Over 35's are required to sign a waiver form. WE ARE AWAITING FINAL CONFIRMATION FROM FOOTBALL QLD IN REGARD TO THE WAIVER FORM AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS.
Registrations will close on Friday 29th September. As you can imagine our Fixtures Controller has a huge task in sorting out the draw. To be able to do this effectively we will require all registrations to be in by the closing date.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
