MHS Lady Cardinals nails 3rd win in ISL Girls varsity hoopfest
Team Mindszenty High School (MHS) Lady Cardinals meant business as they scored their third straight victory at the expense of Palau High School Wolf Spiders, 40-33 in the ongoing 2012 Inter-School League (ISL) Girls varsity basketball league played at the Palau National gym.
Lady Cardinals’ Isabel paced her team as she finished with 14 points as they sport a 3-0 win-loss record in the team standings while Josepa tallied 8 markers for the losing Wolf Spiders.
In other games, MHS Lady Cardinals won over BHS Stellars, 60-27; and BHS Stellars defeated PHS Wolf Spiders, 40-36.
Games will resume today with the last day of elimination featuring PHS Black Widow facing MHS Lady Cardinals at 4 p.m. at the MHS gym while PMA will meet BHS Stellars also at 4 p.m. at the Palau National gym.
A total of five teams are seeing action and the top four squads will advance into the play off round which will be played on November 5. Losers of the play offs will meet for the consolation game on November 6 while the winners will advance to the championship on November 7.
