Waabyin Way carpark announcement

VenuesWest is pleased to announce the project to construct 151 extra parking bays at HBF Arena has been completed and the carpark is now available for use by patrons.

The carpark was initially developed as a result of soil being relocated as part of the Rugby expansion project and was finished with additional funding from the basketball and football development projects. The project has been delivered on time and on budget.

Providing extra parking bays has been a priority since 2013 when the State Government provided funding to expand the facilities at HBF Arena and it was determined the venue needed additional capacity to cater for the increased number of users and patrons.

This was confirmed by the WA Planning Commission in approving the development application to construct the new basketball and football facilities.

All stakeholders and contractors worked to deliver a result that means patrons will arrive at the front entrance of HBF Arena directly from the carpark without setting foot on to the road, ensuring the safety of patrons entering the venue. The project has also delivered a long awaited footpath from Moore Drive to our front door.
