GEELONG REGION WEEKLY CLUB CORNER

Vol 1. No. 3 (Wednesday Nov 8, 2017)

What’s happening at your Geelong Region football club....?

FFV GEELONG/GEELONG REGION FOOTBALL COMMITTEE (GRFC)

- Just a reminder about the FFV’s “Competition Review Workshop” to be held at Moorhead Park Ballarat this Thursday 9th November commencing 7.30pm.

This is for all FFV administered competitions, including NPL, WNPL and State Metro leagues, but is also open to local (Geelong Region) community leagues. The purpose of this workshop is to receive feedback in all aspects of FFV competition from all stakeholders.

Understandably, not all clubs and persons will be able to attend this mid week meeting in Ballarat, so I would please URGE all Geelong clubs to have their say in the consultative process by either completing an online survey or sending an email directly to the consultants involved with your thoughts, opinions, suggestions, proposals etc.

All Victorian football stakeholders are invited to participate in this review either by emailing your submission to footballcompetitionreview@ffv.org.au and/or completing an online survey at: https://www.research.net/r/nplreview

NORTH GEELONG WARRIORS

- NORTH Geelong Warriors is seeking interested players who wish to join its Senior WOMEN’S team for the 2018 season.

After having a large amount of players selected into the newly formed WNPL side Galaxy United FC from its 2016 Women’s State League 1 side, the club turned to building its vision via the junior pathways and has experienced a terrific growth period in the last two years.

In 2018, two of North Geelong’s junior girl’s sides finished in the finals, with the Under 12s taking out the premiership, with several players taking out end-of-season honours in Golden Boot and League Best and Fairest awards.

With some aspiring juniors coming through, they will need more players to join them, as the club re-establishes its Senior Women’s side to participate in the local Geelong competition.

If you’re interested in keeping fit, having fun and developing your football skills, submit your interest!
