NEWS: Geelong Region DRAFT League structures released by FFV for 2018 season

FOLLOWING consultation with all of the member clubs in the Football Federation Victoria (FFV) Geelong Region, the FFV Competitions’ Department can confirm DRAFT league structures and competition formats have been released for the 2018 season.

FFV Comps have taken the teams fielded by clubs in the recently concluded 2017 season to form the 2018 FFV Geelong Draft League Structures.

League structures have been determined based on the Rules of Competition and will be subject to change following the confirmation of team entries by all Geelong clubs via SportsTG in February 2018.

The 2018 FFV Geelong Draft League Structures are as follows:

The Girls' Under 14 competition will be offered as an 11-a-side format in the first instance, however if numbers do not permit the league may revert to a modified 9-a-side format.

FFV announced on Friday 22 September that the FFV Geelong Region will be piloting the 9v9 Under 12 model in 2018 to ensure that the most appropriate model is implemented across the state for 2019. The playing format is listed on the first page of the memo and exact regulations will be confirmed when the Rules of Competition is released closer to the 2018 season.
