Eltham Dandenong Junior Basketball Tournament

       (Subject to sufficient participation numbers and costing’s)

Mandurah Magic will be nominating teams in the Eltham Dandenong Junior Basketball Tournament. This tournament is held over 4 days in Melbourne during the January 2016 school holidays, offering participants exposure to a competitive competition in one of the largest tournaments in Australia. Mandurah Magic WABL and Future Stars Development Players are encouraged to register their interest.

Tournament Dates:

Depart Perth: Friday 22nd January 2016

Arrive in Perth: Monday 25th January 2016

Purpose:

The purpose of the tournament is primarily for development and team cohesion both on and off the court in the following areas:

  1. Basketball Skills – this is an opportunity to play against some of the best players in the country. Basketball games played at this level will enhance both individual & team based skills.
  2. Club Culture – we want to engage in this tournament as a club. This is an opportunity for the players to experience basketball outside of Perth with other players in the club. We believe these kinds of experiences have the prospect of creating positive lifelong memories.
  3. Future Trips – it is our goal to have a USA trip in the future. This trip will build upon those who are engaging in this and future trips.

Selection:

WABL Teams:

Teams (including 1x coach and 1x manager) can be nominated unchanged by completing the Team EOI form and returning to the MBA Office either in person or via email admin@mandurahmagic.com.au

Individual WABL Players:

Individuals are also encouraged to nominate by providing a completed Player EOI form to the MBA Office.

Depending on numbers, MBA are looking at conducting a trial for players to be selected/ placed into teams.

Managers and Coaches:

EOI applications will also be accepted for managers and coaches. If anyone is interested in a coaching or manager position please complete the Manager/Coaches EOI form and return to the MBA Office.

Tournament Fees:

Players: $1450(Subject to change. Fee based on 10 players per team).

Coach/Managers: $200 (Subject to change. Cost covers transport, flights, meals and accommodation)
