The pumped up Bulldogs were keen to keep their season on a high with some old dogs Kyle Smith and Fletch hanging up their boots. Whilst the Blues were looking to judge their season against the standard.
Last games do some funny things to blokes skill levels and none more so than Fletch stretching out one big mitt and the ball sticking like a turd to a blanket to it. Was a mark to behold. He'll dine on that one for a lifetime. The other was Kyle's goal from inside the square - straight outta the ruck, pick up, run on, BOOM and the ball kept going to Stewart Island. Thanks for the entertainment doggies.
The Blues showed some good form with new recruits showing off some lightning fast steps, one handed touch down bounces and impressive marking. Jay was a stand out as well as a young 15 year old in his second game who went in hard for the ball and got some good kicks and marks.
The Blues are recruiting too if you'd like a game contact Jared Court.
Round 2 kicked off in blustery conditions on Sunday with the Reigning Premiers The Eagles finding some winning form over the rebuilding Cougars. But check out the accuracy.!
Training this week Tuesday and Thursday and Friday night and Saturday morning in front of goals. No one goes home till they kick a bag.
The Cougars are still recruiting so if your keen to play call Chris Mintern.
