The stage 5 and 6 students studying childcare run volunteer playgroups every week and constantly doing active programs with the young children that come in for the playgroups.
Our students raise money to fund the playgroups and to be able to resource their playgroup with sporting good would be a very worthwhile venture for the students.
This can then focus their playgroups to be more active as we have not been able to purchase these types of items due to lack of funds. Our students also volunteer on a regular basis to the Hospital playgroup to support parents and carers in need at the community health centre.
We run these playgroups to assist the students and have many community members use it on a regular basis due to the cost being only a gold coin donation.
We provide all equipment and resources for the students to use and a cup of tea for the parents during their stay. We would love to be eligible as we can then promote through more active out door games the need for a health and active lifestyle for the young and adults a like getting all involved in the playgroups.
