In the top of the table clash at the TCA in the Old Scholars the cool heads of DOSA got them over the line against University for the first time this season. Shutting down Rainbows prime movers was the plan for DOSA and with Cameron Golding, Ollie Di Venuto and Michael Fisher dominating around the ground and Sam Peacock, Tom Males and Ben Griffin marshalling their defence the plan worked in their 12 point win. Best for Rainbows were Josh Fogarty, Nick Fenton, Zac Mastrocola, Curtis Bielski, Jarrod Collis and Ryan Douglas.
Richmond moved into second spot courtesy of a four goal win snuffing out Hutchins early charge. The Lions surprised the Blues with their desperation slamming on four goals to one in the opening term but were left wanting as Richmond’s midfield led by Dane Bailey, Adam Daft and Brad Tennick took charge sweeping the ball forward outscoring the Lions ten goals to three in the following three terms while Kevin Jubb, Nick Leitch and Jamie Clark stood out for Hutchins.
An upset beckoned as St.Virgils kicked the first four goals against OHA but the Ships worked back into the game to win by 15 points led by on-baller Josh Franklin and defenders Jamie Ford, Damien Crew and Shane Curtis while Saints best were Jacob Daley, Brad Weston, Kurt Styles and Daniel Adams.
