AFLNRJ are excited to announce the confirmed details of the 2017 Law Society Lunch.
Following the success of last years event, the Far North Coast Law Society have again partnered with AFLNRJ for a fundraising luncheon.
The Lunch will be on Friday the 16th of June from 12pm-4pm at the Ballina RSL function room. This years exciting guest speakers are:
Peter Spida Everitt
AFL Peter “Spida” Everitt is a former Australian Rules footballer who played for St Kilda, Hawthorn and Sydney in the AFL. He made his debut for St Kilda in 1993 and in 2003 began playing for Hawthorn. Everitt was traded to the Sydney Swans at the end of 2006. Following the club’s 2008 semi-final loss to the Bulldogs, he announced his retirement. He finished his career on 291 games.
Matt Poole Ironman
Since the hero days of Trevor Hendy, Grant Kenny and the Mercer brothers, professional surf lifesaving has worn a 10 year hangover of shrinking dollars and audiences. But thankfully, one of Australia’s most iconic sports has been revived, as Matt Poole has risen through the nursery of surf lifesaving to the podium of the Nutri-Grain Ironman Series.
Brendan Cannon Rugby Union
Brendan Cannon is a happy man today, despite having to give away his professional sporting career for the sake of his health. This stalwart of Australian Rugby is happy to still be able to walk, still have a “future as a good husband and father” and still “consider myself pretty lucky to have had so many amazing experiences.”
Tickets are $100 each or:
Table of 6 $600
Table of 8 $800
Table of 10 $1000
