Round 10 was a big one for the Wolfpack, culminating in a 24-9 weekend for the club!

 

Wolfpack D-League Women fought tooth-and-nail to a victory at Lakeside. Jo Odude was instrumental with critical baskets early in the 4th to bring the Wolfpack back from a 5-point deficit. Olivia Basso nailed one of her trademark 3s from the top of the key. Zoe Bassett had an amazing spinning finish. Ultimately, it was Laniesha Paddon who demonstrated some tremendous finishing ability on back-to-back 4th quarter possessions to secure the victory for the Wolfpack. This win will keep the Wolves in contention for the top-seed as they move towards D-League finals that begin on the 8th July.

The U12 Championship Girls had a resounding win over the Magic of Mandurah. Amelia Franklin led the Wolves with 16 points in a 24-point victory. The U12-4 Girls suffered a narrow defeat on the road in Bunbury. Lily Stefanski led all scorers with 10 points as the Wolfpack lost by 4. In a matchup of U12 Green versus U12 White, Green were victorious in a tightly fought contest. White was led by 9 points from Isla Kelly. Naia Priddis led Green with 16 points as Green defeated White 45-31. It was a great game. 

The U14 Championship girls had a 28-6 start and held on to win by 40+ against the Tigers. Balanced scoring was great to see with 4 players in double figures. Harper Norris had 8 points and distributed the ball as a lead guard. Trailing by 13 at halftime, the U14-2 Girls were able to close the gap to just 3 points headed to the 4thquarter against Warwick. Unfortunately, they fell by a final score of 36-50. Izzy O’Donnell (9), Emily Epple (7) and Amelie Barrett (7) were the top-scorers. In another matchup of Green versus White, Green triumphed 46-24. Alysia Lock led White with 7 points. Green were led by the trio of Layla Potter (9), Olivia Kalbermatten (8), and Elisabeth Leboeuf (8).

In the U16 Girls divisions, the Wolfpack were victorious in three completely different styles. The U16-2 Girls won each quarter en route to a thorough 72-47 win over Lakeside. Rose Wheeler, Luca Kuhn, and Agook Chol had 19, 12, and 10 points respectively in the effort. U16 Girls Green had a blowout win 134-27 over the Mandurah Magic. Lucy Corden poured in 31 points and Imogen Young also had a 28-point game. The U16 Girls White won 50-47 over Warwick. A balanced scoring attack and sound defence paved the way for Luke Stein’s team.  

Moving to the U18 Women, The U18-2s were successful over the Hills Raiders to the tune of 63-44. Chloe Goldsmith and Grace Conradt each scored 17 to lead the Wolfpack. In the final Green versus White clash of the day, Green prevailed 66-28 in a game that was closer than the score indicates. Summer Wilson and Oceana Wilson each scored 8 points for White. Jaeda Conradt (18) and Ava Tomazin (16) provided the margin for Green.

The U12 Boys was a tale of first quarters. The Championship Boys got off to a sluggish start, trailing 0-16. They held even with the Tigers for the rest of the game to end on the bad end of 43-58. The U12-2 Boys got off to a quick start 15-6 in the first quarter on their way to a 67-21 victory. Kobi Bunt (16), Josh Epple (11), and Lucas Mitchell (10) led all scorers. Similarly, the U12-3 Boys got of to a 9 point lead at quarter’s time on their way to a 65-38 victory. Sidharth Ramavarman and Heath Grinceri each had 18 points for the Wolfpack. The U12-4 Boys continued their impressive season on the back of an 11-0 first quarter. Ultimately, our Wolves were able to secure the 43-25 victory. James Fairhead had 11 and he was joined by 8 points from Riley Batterham. 

The U14 Boys were 3-0 on the weekend. The U14-4 Boys were powered by Ash Langlands and Dylan Thomson with 19 and 17 points respectively on their way to a 55-50 win. The U14-2 Boys took an 8-point lead to the 2nd half and held on to win 59-53. James Arnatt and Ashton Thorpe each had 16 points. Harrie Kuhn chipped in 12 points himself to get a critical victory. The U14-Champ Boys knocked off the Hawks of Perry Lakes. Mason Nugent (17), Aidan Kiely (16), and Harrison Connolly (15) lead the charge for the Wolfpack. 

The U16-Champ Boys continued their impressive run dispatching the Willetton Tigers 75-66. Loui Pibworth knocked down 3 3-pointers on his way to 23 points for the Wolves. Taj Gleeson and Sol Herewini-Kapea chipped in 17 and 15 respectively. The U16-2 Boys were galvanised by a 26-point performance from Jack Goosen as they took care of the Mandurah Magic 93-64. The U16-3 Boys took a strong 18-point lead and never looked back on their way to a 73-62 on the road in Bunbury. Balanced scoring was led by 16 points from Owen Baker. Kai Starr and Jake Colgan did a majority of the damage for the U16-4 Boys, with 22 and 18 points respectively. That capped a 4-0 weekend for the U16 Wolfpack. 

Our U18 Championship Boys were back in action with a thorough victory against Slammers. Cade Vassallo knocked down 6 3s on his way to 24 points. Kieran McNamara made 8 3s on his way 32 points for the squad who took a 30+ point victory. The U18-2 Men fell 88-92 against Warwick in a hard-fought contest. Each player got in the scoring column and this team really competed on both sides of the ball. U18 Men Green lost by 6 in a low-scoring 49-55 game. Sam Geel managed 14 points behind 3 made 3s. The U18 Men White pulled away in the final quarter to secure an 81-71 victory over Cougars. Matt Gibbs (26) and Luke Owens (23) lead the way for the Wolfpack Men. 

The U20 Men split the weekend 1-1 with Perry Lakes. The Championship boys fought back in the 4th quarter but were unable to overcome a 20-point halftime deficit. Jack Kingswood had 31 for the Pack. Meanwhile, the U20-2 Men scrapped and clawed their way back from a 13-point halftime deficit to win 72-64. They outscored the top of the ladder Hawks 28-9 in the final period. Frederick Maddison led a balanced scoring attack for the Wolves with 14 points.
