Shani Amos Re-Signs for the 2023 season

The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the return of Shani Amos for the 2023 NBL1 West season.

Wolfpack legend Shani Amos returns for the 2023 NBL1 West season. As a multiple SBL All-Star and former WNBL player, Shani brings a wealth of playing experience to the squad. Shani has represented the Wolfpack since under 16’s, recently notching her 250th game for the Joondalup Wolves.

Head Coach Marcus Wong had this to say about Shani:

Shani brings such a wealth of experience and knowledge to the group, and I am thankful she has chosen to go around again. She has such a fantastic understanding of the game and her leadership on and off the floor is invaluable to us. Her willingness to guide others and play her role is a testament to the person she is. I think after one season back under her belt she will have an even bigger impact in the coming season.”

When asked about her signing, Shani had this to say:

“I’m so glad to be re-signing with the Joondalup Wolves in 2023. Last year was an incredible year with incredible people and I can’t wait to see what magic will happen next season on and off the court. I have managed to notch up 250 games with this amazing club and I don’t see that stopping any time soon. Having my two boys coming to watch ‘Mum’ play is one of the many reasons I will return next season, but I am more looking forward to imparting my knowledge and experience onto the next generation of players. My role has changed but my love for the game is still strong. Keep an eye out for the Wolfpack because good things are happening!”

Shani will be joining teammates Robbi Ryan, Teige Morrell and Neseya Parker-Williams for the 2023 season. You can join the Wolfpack with your very own season membership. Visit bit.ly/Wolves2023 to find out more!
