Robbi Ryan to Run with the Pack in 2022
The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of, American import, Robbi Ryan for the 2022 NBL1 West season.
The 5’9” guard played all four years of college basketball at Arizona State University – part of the highly respected “PAC-12 Conference in the USA. In her final year, Robbi earned All-PAC-12 Honors to go along with her 36 made 3-pointers and season average of 10.6 points and 1.7 assists. Robbi’s 2018 Defensive All-PAC 12 Honorable Mention proves her contribution goes beyond just one side of the court as well. Robbi graduated in 2020 and will be coming to the Wolves after her professional debut in Grindavik, Iceland.
New NBL1 Women’s Head Coach Marcus Wong had this to say about Robbi joining the Pack,
“We are excited to have Robbi join us! She gives us depth through all the guard spots which will provide us with the flexibility to play a variety of line ups. Robbi had an outstanding college career in the Pac 12 at Arizona State where she played in very similar structures to what we are doing here, so we expect her to fit right in straight away. She has a great ability to get shots away under pressure and makes great decisions out of pick and roll actions while also bringing a tough defensive mind set. We are really looking forward to seeing Robbi hit the floor with us soon.”
When asked about her signing with the Wolves, Robbi said,
"I am very excited for the opportunity to play for the Joondalup Wolves. I can't wait to get on the court and compete for a championship."
Robbi will be joining Teige Morrell, Neseya Parker-Williams, Chelsea Belcher, Tia Ucich, Shani Caldwell, Kiara Phillips, Laniesha Paddon, Akim Lual, Aryaan Horne, and Hannah Duncan on the 2022 Wolves Women’s roster.
