The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of, Wolves junior, Ben Geel for the 2022 NBL1 West season.

This will be Ben’s rookie season playing on the Wolfpack NBL1 Men’s Team. In his latest WABL season, the 6’4” wing earned the 2021 WABL Championship Coach’s Award, proving his value runs deeper than even his basketball talent. No doubt, Ben will be a fan favorite and one to keep an eye out for as he continues to develop as an NBL1 player.

When asked about his signing with the Wolves Ben said, 

“I am very excited to be offered the opportunity to play NBL1 at the club I’ve grown up at, and where my parents and sister played before me. I’m grateful to the coaches for recognising the hard work that I have put in the past few seasons. We have a young and exciting group who all get all along. I’m looking forward to the season and playing in front of our Wolfpack fans.”

New NBL1 Men’s Head Coach David Morrell had this to say about the signing of Ben,

“Ben is a Wolves junior, who is long and has positional size, and he’s a late bloomer in terms of his athleticism and strength, which means he has a real chance to get a whole lot better in the next year or two. He is a fantastic fit to our culture, a great young man, and we are proud to have him as a contracted player this year. He was a very effective player on his WABL team last year. This year he’s going to continue to expand his game. I’m excited to see what the future holds for him.”
