The Joondalup Wolves Indigenous Round Jersey Design has Been Added to the New WABL Uniform

The painting shows the 6 SBL minor premierships 3 with the Men’s team and 3 with the Women’s team on the sides of the centre circle. The circles below are the 7 Championship’s, 4 by the Women’s team and 3 by the Men’s, these teams are shown by the semi-circles.The circles facing out represent the Women and the circles facing in represent the Men. All these circles have pathways connecting them and the pathway also connects them too the large circles in the middle which is the Joondalup Wolves. The symbols surrounding the circle are the Men and Woman and also the hunting spear in which we use for hunting and warfare.

The area below the championships with many white dots represent the past players and supporters. This group of people are the foundation of the club and are still around the court and stands in spirit.

Lake Joondalup is shown in black down the bottom. The word Joondalup means “long white hair”. The Women’s hair when in a bun tied up is also known as a Joondy. This is represented in the painting above Lake Joondalup. The white lines representing the hair and the green makes it look like the hair is tied up.

Lake Joondalup is surrounded by the Mooro Yellowgonga people who would use the lake to feed on fish (djildjit) and turtle (yakaarn). They would use the reeves around the lake to make baskets, headwear and shoes, eat the fruit and berries and use the surrounding area for ceremonies, dance and lore.
