Ucich Returns to the Pack

The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of Tia Ucich for the 2022 NBL1 West season.

The 5’7” guard joined the Pack last season where she helped lead the women’s program to a 2021 Grand Final appearance. Her experience in big time games, as well as leadership and defensive ability were a major contributing factor to the team’s achievements. We look forward to seeing her positive impact on the floor again this season.

When asked about signing with the Wolves Tia said,

“I’m very happy to be part of the Wolfpack for 2022. We lost some incredibly talented women to retirement/moves this year, but I know this will give the younger girls an opportunity to learn and grow at a faster pace- and I’m really excited to watch that unfold. And with Marcus now finally in the state, what an opportunity we have as a unit to learn from- and be led by- him.”

New NBL1 Women’s Head Coach Marcus Wong had this to say about the return of Tia.

I’m excited to have Tia back this year. She is a natural leader, and her work ethic rubs off on everyone around her. She has a great ability to pressure the ball up the floor and lead the team from the point and I think she will have a real impact in 2022.”
