COVID ANNOUNCEMENT
A MESSAGE FROM WANNEROO BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION (4 February 2022)
It’s been a busy week for the Wolfpack, as we welcome the recommencement of our junior domestic competition following a break over the school holidays.
We understand that the recent amendments to the COVID-19 protocols have been the topic of conversation for many of our members.
Please remember that Wanneroo Basketball Association is required to follow all legislation, guidelines, restrictions and directives that are introduced by the WA State Government.
The WBA is committed to ensuring that its competition can continue to be delivered in accordance with these policies, mandates and directions, as they may be amended from time to time. Our focus is to ensure that we can keep the competitions running as effectively as possible whilst in compliance with these evolving requirements. It is likely that there will be some disruptions over the coming weeks and we appreciate the understanding of our members as the challenges are navigated when they arise.
Exemptions or modifications to WA State Government Directives or the requirements of each venue operator are unable to be provided by Wanneroo Basketball Association.
The WBA would like to remind all members that the Codes of Behaviour remain in effect on the recommencement of competitions, and abusive language, threating and inappropriate behaviours will not be tolerated. Persistent communications that are inconsistent with the role of WBA in relation to mandates by the State Government will not be responded to and in some cases can be considered to bring the association in to disrepute. Where such actions are identified it will be dealt with in accordance to our policies and by-laws and may face tribunal sanctioning as per the WBA codes of behaviour.
As we are already at capacity in all venues, any behaviour that leads to venue operators/owners taking away our access due to COVID breaches means that our competitions simply will not go ahead without significant disruption. Please remember that.
