Return To Play Update

"Dear WBA Members, Clubs, Community and Wolfpack Family,

The WBA is excited by the news of the gradual lifting of restrictions that will hopefully see us return to play soon. However there are still many scenarios and procedures we have to navigate before we can get back to basketball.

The WBA is working closely with Basketball Australia and Basketball Western Australia to manage how and when we return and what the government restrictions, particularly the 20 person at an indoor gathering means for us and how to interpret each guideline.

Basketball Australia is putting a 5 step “Return to Basketball” policy to the Federal government and will hopefully be able to provide us with more information shortly.

We also have to adhere to facility management guidelines. Venues West may choose to implement their own restrictions on facility usage which will play a part in the timeline for our return. As more confirmed information comes to hand we will keep our members informed.

Like everyone, we want to see basketball back as soon as possible but we have to ensure we return to play in a controlled and orderly manner with the health and safety of all our members the number one priority.

Thanks for your patience and understanding during these times.”

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
