WOLVES SIGN THE “THE ROC”
The Chambers Franklyn Joondalup City Wolves are excited to announce the first import signing to their 2020 Men’s roster, welcoming USA small forward Roddric “Roc” Ross from North Carolina to the Wolfpack.
Ross, a former NCAA Division 2 All American with Johnson C. Smith State University, is a 6’7 small forward who will provide the Wolves with another elite scoring option, with the ability to shoot the 3 and get to the hoop.
It was Ross’s performance in the NCAA D2 National Championship Tournament that launched him into the spotlight. Ross scored a massive 39 points against the number 1 ranked division two school in the country. In his senior college season, he averaged 19 PPG and 6 RPG, at an impressive 44% from the field. Ross has also spent time in Egypt, where he played for Canal Sporting Club of the Egyptian Superleague where he averaged 18.7 PPG and 5.3 RPG.
Men’s Head Coach Andrew Summerville has worked closely with the club’s List Management Group to identify and sign an athlete who complements the roster, and he is thrilled with what Ross will bring to the Wolfpack this season.
“Roddric is a super athlete, at 6’7 he has the ability to play the 1 through 4 and can score the ball in multiple ways. He can hit the 3, shoot the pull up, score off the dribble and finish above the rim. He is a big-time gamer with the ability to carry the team when required.”.
“Ross is a very humble, hardworking guy and I look forward to seeing him on the floor for us this year” Summerville said.
