Thank You Ben!

After 7 years as Men’s Head Coach at the Joondalup Wolves and having led the Pack to 6 Grand Final appearances and two Championships, Ben Ettridge will be leaving his role as Head Coach role of the Chambers Franklyn Joondalup City Wolves Mens State Basketball League team.

Prior to the start of the semi-finals series Ben declined an offer of extension on the current terms of his contract, and indicated his desire to explore new opportunities having engaged an agent in early July.

Ben’s contribution to the Association has been significant over the journey and has assisted with the achievement of a range of Association outcomes. The Wolfpack’s membership has a lot to be thankful for.

Ben delivered exceptional results in the men’s program over a sustained period with a strong focus on team culture and the importance of each member being committed to driving the teams legacy.  A legacy of ensuring that the program remains in a better place than when each member arrived.

Whilst marking the end of an era, the Association will now explore interest from prospective, suitably qualified Head Coaches who are interested in leading the Wolfpack program for season 2020.

Being the first time since 2009 that the Wolves MSBL Head Coach role will have been made available to market, the role provides a stable environment for an aspiring or established Head Coach to succeed, with the Association committed to consistent resourcing and the support of the list management group and administration team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate their ability to lead a high performance culture, build strong relationships within the league and work within the Associations structures and support networks to deliver sustained success for the program and the Association.

Interested candidates, or those who may like to support the program in other roles, are encouraged to contact Association President Ryan Hunter for a confidential chat on 0429 374 793.
