Member Constitution Consultation
The Wanneroo Basketball Association is currently undertaking a Constitution consultation strategy, as a feature of a broader piece of work to review our Association’s current Constitution.
There have been key changes to the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 and as such, there are statutory changes that the club is required to make by mid-2019.
With the impending move to our new facility, which naturally carries a substantial amount of work and consultation, the WBA Board has determined that this Constitution change is a key priority for immediate treatment.
External consultant Wendy Lamotte has been engaged to lead the sessions, and the WBA Board have already come together as a feature of the process to discuss several relevant items.
A second group, our six-affiliated junior domestic clubs, have been invited to engage in a discussion and feedback process.
And the third group in the 3-stage process will be a general member cohort - preferably, a cross-section of the membership - Domestic, WABL, SBL - to offer diversity of views and interests.
The session will be held on Thursday June 29, at HBF Arena.
