Coach of the Month | Chris Howsam
Wolfpack Basketball's 2018 initiative, the Coach of the Month recipient, recognises our club's coaching talent and commitment across the entire Association. Yes that's Domestic, WABL and SBL.
Each month a coach will be recognised for their attitude, work ethic and alignment to our club vision.
Each monthly winner enters the draw at year end to win a $500 coaching grant, to better their skills and further develop their game experience and education.
Congratulations CHRIS HOWSAM - our May winner!
Chris Howsam wears several hats at the Wolves, a passionate Basketball person who is committed to player development and ensuring a work ethic amongst his young athletes.
A Domestic coach with the club's newest junior affiliated club, the Northside Cobras, Chris is also the club's U14 Girls 3 WABL Head Coach, developing fundamentals and game awareness in the club's future female players.
His regular attendance at SBL fixtures to learn what it takes to both play and coach at the level identifies his thirst for knowledge and his desire to learn and grow his coaching repertiore.
Chris has been recognised as a developing coach with a great attitude and awareness of the Wolfpack values, passionate and commitment, and has been identified as a targeted coach for intensive development with Wolves Head of Male Basketball and SBL Head Coach, Ben Ettridge.
