The Joondalup Wolves – the Destination of Choice for Basketball – are hosting try outs for our Junior WABL teams in 2020 and this is your chance to be seen in green and to represent Wolfpack Basketball.

The 2020 WABL tryouts will begin from Sunday 27th October and will be held at the home of the Joondalup Wolves – HBF Arena for all age groups from U12 (Born 2009/2010) to U20 (born 2001/2002) men and women.

Age Groups:

U12 (U11 for 2019 BWA State Champs) - Born 2009/2010;

U14 (U13 for 2019 BWA State Champs)- Born 2007/2008;

U16 (U15 for 2019 BWA State Champs) - Born 2005/2006;

U18 (U17 for 2019 BWA State Champs) - Born 2003/2004;

U20 (U19 for 2019 BWA State Champs) - Born 2001/2002.

Cost is $20 for the first 2 weeks of trials (ie 4 sessions).

The BWA State Championships will be used as part of the WABL Trial process – PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ALL PROSPECTIVE WOLVES WABL PLAYERS MUST PARTICIPATE IN STATE CHAMPS FOR A WOLVES TEAM. THE TEAMS SELECTED FOR STATE CHAMPS MAY NOT BE THE FINAL WABL TEAMS FOR 2020.

(If you are only interested in participating in State Champs and NOT to play WABL in 2020, please ensure you advise in the online registration form).

The training schedule is also available as per below, so please ensure you are aware of your age group’s training schedule. Please be advised that this may be subject to change at short notice depending on court availability and player numbers.

Head coaches for each age group will be announced shortly.

PLEASE NOTE: Should you be selected to a WABL Representative team for the 2020 season, there may be an impact on which team you may play for in the WBA Junior Domestic Competition based on the WBA By Laws.

Prior to attending your designated training slot, please ensure you have the following:

1)     Registered for the “WolfPack WABL Try Outs” online (Please                    register as a “new registrant”);

2)     A water bottle;

3)     Correct footwear;

4)     A reversible singlet. Wolfpack reversibles can be purchased HERE

Reminder - mouthguards are COMPULSORY for ALL GRADES in WABL.
