Mildura - Gala Weekend
The Victorian Champions League Regional Gala Weekend for Central City, Gippsland Knights, Loddon Mallee Lightning, North West Wanderers, Northern Allstars and Western Wolves will be held on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th December, 2011 at the Aero Ovals in Mildura!
The weekend is action packed with 42 fixtured matches and over 750 participants taking part across these two days of competition. All fixtures are available on the FFV website VCL website.
The VCL is Victoria’s leading state-wide junior sporting League and we’re proud to boast talented participants from every corner of Victoria and be supporting regional communities by bringing match days to the far reaches of the state. The Gala Weekends provide a magnificent opportunity for young players to learn what its really like to be a rep team ‘on the road’!
A variety of Mildura accommodation options will be available for Victorian Champions League participants with thanks to the City of Mildura. Now that most Zones have made their team selections, we are keen for all participants and their families to make bookings.
Highlights of the properties currently available include:
- A number of property types including cabins, motels and apartments
- A range of share options – single/double/triple and one and two bedrooms
- A variety of price points – with family/group options starting at $99
A total of 42 teams and 750 players will be participating in the weekend’s matches, and therefore booking NOW is essential to ensure your teams are accommodated!
We strongly encourage you to make your Zone’s bookings via the Mildura Visitor & Booking Information Centre website as the local council is providing significant support for this Gala Weekend and their ongoing assistance and support of FFV events is reliant on our returned support of their preferred accommodation suppliers.
How do you secure accommodation for your Zone or Zone Team?

THEN you have three options:
Phone the Mildura Visitor Information Centre free call number 1800 039 043
Book through FFV via email to ensuring you include the following details:
- Zone making the booking
- Contact name, phone number and email
- Team (if applicable)
- Accommodation property name (taken from options offered via above link)
- Nights required (check in date, check out date)
- Number of rooms required
- Configuration of each room required
FFV will then make the booking on your behalf. Payment can be made upfront or upon invoice.
