'Devils give PCP the Blues'

A strong all-round game from reigning premiers Blue Devils easily accounted for PCP on Wednesday night - 70-47.

The win puts Devils on top of the Premier League ladder as Ben Knight (21 points) had an intriguing battle against big brother Mitch Knight, who was the standout player for PCP with a game-high 23 points.

Daniel and Tarron Green showed great skill combining for 25 points.

In the other game, Devils White beat Red Devils by 12 points.

The Whites were well led by Jacob Owen (18 points) and Kurtis Bolck (15 points) in the low-scoring 47-35 win.

Chris Stark, with 13 and Nic Towner (eight points), were the scoring mainstays for Red Devils.

'Devilicious Red win another tight one'

 

It's official, Devilicious Red sure know how to win thrillers.

And Monday night was no exception as the reigning grand final winners as the Red side won 38-34 against a plucky Power Puffs.

Experienced trio Gabby Oram, Kellie Green, and Shay Thetford shot big buckets at key moments while Larissa Mylonas led all scorers with 14 points for Power Puffs and she had great support from Kelly McEachran for the Puffs.

Devilicious Black had a comfortable 48-18 win against Turbos.

Tilly Gilbert and Madison Cosgrove each shot 14 points and Turbos' Ashleigh Barlin and Jo Cannon tried hard.

Lions beat KJP Kixx 66-48 in a high-scoring match.

Youngsters Erin Harvey, for Lions and  Kixx' Kadee Barrenger went head-to-head.

Harvey scored 34 points and Barrenger in a great duel while Harvey had support with Arlene Kirk (14 points) and evergreen Tracey Calis with 10.

DIVISION ONE MEN - Round 6

'Taipans sting Ravens and Balleros do it in threes'

Taipans won a classic game against Ravens 49-48 in what was high-quality.

Ravens came hard late in the game but Taipans held on courtesy of an MVP game from youngster Jordan Zerner who shot 18 points with two triples.

Eli Barling chipped in with 11.

Dain Sheppard and centre James Caddy led the way for Ravens with 15 and 14 points respectively.

Balleros, with just three players, kept its undefeated start to the season intact with a 48-44 win against Hawks.

Elijah Johnson swished five triples on his way to 23 points for Balleros with Chris Stark (19 points) also important.

Oscar Chungpradit shot 18 points for Hawks and Alvin Kahondo chimed in with 12.

Air Ballers showed it's the team to beat and are also undefeated after a 65-40 win against Lions Fury.

Nic Towner and Jonathan Voltz shot six triples between them with 21 and 16 points respectively.

Cooper Rhodes and Tom Gardiner each shot 10 for Fury.

Sharks beat Tropics 60-39 as Nephfirst Jul Araneta went to work with Sundiv Miro (15) also solid.

Tropics Bryce Martin battled hard with 10 points.

Devolds had an automatic win after Meteors had forfeited.
