'Red Devils have Blue's measure'

Just like in round one, Red Devils edged out Blue Devils in a willing contest 51-41

The Devils' Red edition was too steady from start to finish despite a late rally by a Daniel Green Blue Devils side.

Michael Byrnes, Troy Robinson and Chris Tucker all played important roles in Red Devils' win while youngsters Ben Knight and Seth Collins all had their moments for the boys in blue.

Devils White, with no bench, upset PCP in a high-class game 85-76.

Jimmy Lamkin was superb for the White side with 30 points while PCP's Brandon Lucas shot 45 points that had seven triples in it.

 

DIVISION ONE MEN - Round 4

'Three undefeated teams'

Wolves, Air Ballers and Balleros remain as teams yet to suffer a loss after the fourth round.

In what was a scrappy game, Balleros cruised to an easy win against Tropics.

Chris Wisenewski was probably best-on-court in the 42-16 win.

Tropics' Richard Frost tried hard with 10 points.

Reigning premiers Devolds suffered its first loss since lat last year when an Izaac Sealy-inspired Wolves won 65-54.

Sealy shot 16 points and Devolds' Jimmy Lamkin led the way with 20.

Air Ballers beat Meteors 48-30 in a consistent game from the ladder leaders.

John Voltz scored 12 for the winners while Mitch Ryan scored a game-high 14 for Meteors.

Lions Fury, with its bunch of Gladstone representative under-16 and under-18 players Cooper Rhodes, Josh Morfey, Owen Gardiner and Luke Hampson, were too strong in a 50-35 win against Taipans.

Rhodes (26) and Morfey, with 16, dominated for Fury and under-18 rep player Ryley Dredge shot 11 for Taipans.

Kings scored a thrilling 41-38 win against Ravens.

Isaac Blackaby and Dain Sheppard top-scored for Kings and Ravens respectively with 14 points each.

 

WOMEN - Round 4

'2019 champs return to the top'

Reigning grand final winners Devilicious Red returned to the top of the table after a nail-biting 43-40 win against contenders Lions Fury.

Experienced Reds pair Kellie Green and Gabby Oram shot 15 and 14 respectively.

After Zoe Calis (13 points for Lions Fury) reduced the margin to just one point, Green came to the fore to ice the game with a bucket.

KJP Kixx beat Devilicious Black by 11 points in a 57-46 scoreline.

Isabella Zerner was outstanding with 25 points and Tilly Gilbert was solid. She scored 18 for the Black team.

Turbos put up a challenge against Power Puffs to go down 32-26.

Demi Blake did all she could for the improving Turbos with 11 points.

Julie Stone scored nine points for the Puffs.
