Bulls even series in FBL Finals

With their backs against the wall, the Ilocandia Bulls managed to bounce back to beat Western Union, 88-86 to even their best of three championship series in Game Two of the Season Finals of the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) played at the Palau National gym.

The game could have gone the other way, but the Bulls managed to convert baskets out of the crucial turnovers of Western Union in the dying seconds of the game. The Bulls even trailed in the opening frame at 17-18 but managed to outscore Western Union in the second with a 26-19 run to close the first half with a 43-37 lead.

From there, the Bulls hanged on as the dynamic duo of Marvic Ngchar and RB Dorado led the scoring chores as they swing by for the win. Ngchar finished the game with 27 as Dorado had 26.

On the other hand, crucial turnovers hurt Western Union down the stretch of the game even with the balance scoring from their line up. Western Union’s playmaker Al Obrero tallied 23 points and was backed by Dennis Castro, Erwin Senadre and Anon Cajegas who had 17, 16 and 10 on the losing side.

With the win, the Bulls force a winner take all Game three set on June 22.
