EHS B, PHS Tarantula score win in ISL Boys Jr. varsity hoopfest
Team Emmaus High School team B and Palau High School (PHS) Tarantula improved their standings after beating respective foes in the ongoing elimination round of the 2012 Inter-School League (ISL) Junior boys’ basketball league.
EHS team B showed might as they beat PHS Bubuu, 93-42 while PHS Tarantula drubbed PMA B, 94-39. Both squads are gunning to finish strong taking a spot in the semi finals which will be played on October 22.
In other games, EHS A won over PMA A, 53-50; PMA A bested MHS B, 39-37; and MHS B defeated PHS Bubuu, 58-37.
Bracketed in Pool A are PHS Tarantula, MHS team A, EHS team A, PMA team B and PHS Spiders while Pool B is composed of PMA team A, Emmaus High School team B, Palau High School Bubuu, BMS and Mindszenty High School team B.
Top two teams at the end of the elimination round will move to the play offs and organizers remind all teams that fighting will cause expulsion from the tournament, which is supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF). By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
