WU, Bulls face rivals in FBL Sunday

Contenders Western Union and the Ilocandia Bulls will try to improve their standings when they face off separate rivals, Sunday in the resumption of the 2012 season of the Filipino Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

Runner up Western Union guns for solo second spot when they face the still winless team Rams/Guardians at 2 p.m. Sporting a 7-2 win-loss record, Western Union tries to get the win to assert solo second spot as they will be lead by Bong Alambra, Emerson Patenia, Erwin Senadre, Dennis Castro and Jun Ponting while Rams/Guardians (0-10) hopes to steal a win as they will again rely on Leo Castro, JR Grapa, Junie Samantina, Jake Mahor and Clinton Rivera.

On the other hand, the Ilocandia Bulls aim to maintain their winning run as they will square off against Hanpa Cardinals in the main game at 3:30 p.m.

The Bulls (6-4) looks to improve their standing as they will be led by Raul Osias, Joeger Supnet, Jun Villena, Jayson Tabuyo and Jaime Velasco while the Cardinals (4-7) will have Dennis Gonzales, Raymund and Francis Tan, Phillip Maniago, Johnson Sicat, Nhey Quito and Mac Naguit.

In other games, Ocean View/PCGM will meet 9-Balls Friendsters in the Master’s League at 11 a.m. while team Choppers will take on the Jaguars at 12:30 p.m.
