PHS Spiders stays unbeaten in ISL Boys Jr. varsity hoopfest

Following the footsteps of their lady counterparts, Palau High School (PHS) Spiders remains unbeaten in the ongoing 2011 Inter-School League (ISL) Junior boys basketball league.

PHS Spiders scored their fourth straight victory at the expense of Mindszenty High School (MHS) Cardinals, 81-28. With the win, PHS Spiders are now 4-0 win-loss in the team standings.

On the other hand, after losing their first game, Emmaus High School (EHS) A Squires nailed their second win besting sister team EHS B, 65-44 with Olai leading the way with 12 points while Marvin had 24 for EHS B on the losing end.

The win paved way for EHS A Squires to tally a 2-1 record while EHS B is now 1-3.

As follows are the results of the games: PHS won over PMA Jr. Warriors, 100-31; MHS Cardinals beat EHS B, 53-32; PMA Jr. Warriors defeated EHS A Squires, 50-47; PHS won over BMS, 20-0; EHS A Squires outscored MHS Cardinals, 76-45; PHS Spiders dumped EHS B, 79-20; EHS B outgunned BMS, 54-42; PMA Jr. Warriors drubbed BMS, 68-27.

Games will resume today with PMA Jr. Warriors versus MHS Cardinals at 4 p.m. at the SDA Court while EHS A Squires will meet BMS also at 4 p.m. at the EHS Court. Tomorrow’s game will have EHS A Squires taking on PHS Spiders at 4 p.m. at the PHS gym.
