Palau High School (PHS) Black Widow and Mindszenty High School Lady Cardinals scored contrasting victories against respective opponents in the ongoing 2011 Inter-School League girl’s basketball league played in separate venues.

PHS Black Widow nailed its second win as they drubbed BHS Stellars, 71-48. The win came off after the Black Widows won over Mindszenty High School Lady Cardinals, 56-31 last October 19.

The Black Widows are now 2-0 in the team standings.

On the other hand, Mindszenty High School Lady Cardinals managed to bounce back as they beat PHS Lady Spiders, 30-26 with Aphra-El Uchel leading the way with 9 points as Ayla had 6 for the Lady Spiders. The Lady Cardinals are now 2-1.

In other games, PHS Lady Spiders defeated PMA B, 51-5; PMA A won over PHS Lady Spiders, 40-36; PMA B drubbed BHS Stellars, 80-18; and MHS Lady Cardinals outscored BHS Stellars, 42-38.

Games resume today with PMA A versus BHS Stellars at 4 p.m. at the EHS court while PHS Lady Spiders goes up against its sister team PHS Black Widow at 4 p.m. at the PHS Gym.

Tomorrow’s game will have PHS Lady Spiders against BHS Stellars at 3 p.m. at the Palau National gym while October 31 matches will feature PHS Black Widows taking on PMA B at 4 p.m. at the PHS Gym while PMA A will meet MHS Lady Cardinals also at 4 p.m. at the MHS gym.
