Perth RedStar march on in the NPLWA – Women's competition with a 3-0 win at Balcatta to move seven points clear at the top of the league.

It was a sixth straight win to start the season for Carlos Vega Mena's side as they struck twice in the first half to take full control, before recording a fourth clean sheet in six outings.

The opener came on seven minutes when Larissa Walsh cushioned a header into the path of Jayna Ridley, who delivered an accomplished finish for 1-0.

Sarah Carroll's free-kick was fisted over by Balcatta keeper Gabby Dal Busco while at the other end Mia Yeo surged past Grace Monteiro, but her strike didn't have the necessary power to test Maya Diederichsen.

RedStar's class in the final third showed again though on 25 minutes. Carroll delivered the perfect through ball for Olivia Wood to break from midfield and score past Dal Busco to double the lead.

Balcatta came out with more intent in the second half to try and unsettle the visitors in midfield, but the leaders continued to look a threat. Dal Busco twice saved brilliantly from Carroll, the first to block a volley from point-blank range, before using her legs to get the better of a one-on-one opportunity.

Yeo and Monique Prinsloo both had chances to pull one back, but in between those opportunities RedStar wrapped up the points. Carroll was again the provider with a driven cross that Golden Boot leader Walsh tapped to make it 10 goals in six games this season, as RedStar's rise continued.

Sunday's other Round Seven fixture saw Subiaco miss a chance to go into the top four as they conceded two late goals to draw 4-4 with Curtin University in an eight-goal thriller at Rosalie Park.

The visitors arrived still chasing their first points of the season, but they struck after just two minutes under caretaker coach Les Cavill. Keilin Fagan's shot was saved by Zara Board, but Dakota Van-Vugt arrived to slam in the rebound.

Board then clawed away a Van-Vugt header, but Subiaco levelled on 20 minutes when Toni Walden's in-swinging corner leading to an own goal off Stephanie Waycott.

Fagan restored Curtin's lead eight minute later after collecting Taylor Reid's pass, rounded Board and eventually scored after some determined work in the area.

Reid's effort whistled wide of the post before the break, but Greg Farrell's side levelled for a second time prior to half time after a defensive mix-up allowed Ingrid Gomez Basallo to score her first of the season.

And they led for the first time a minute after the restart when Ashlee Byrne stole in between two Curtin defender to nick the ball past Stacey Cavill and score into a vacant net.

With five minutes remaining, play was delayed due to an issue with the floodlights, but on resumption there was three late goals which provided a dramatic ending.

Frankie Murray looked as though she had sealed the points for the hosts when she made it 4-2, but Van-Vugt answered quickly with her second of the game and third of the campaign.

Reid then netted a 93rd minute equaliser as the second ticked down, her first goal since joining from Perth, and it was enough to earn her new team a draw.

On Friday night, Fremantle City moved a point clear of Perth SC in second place after they came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Hyundai NTC.

The youngsters were 2-0 up inside the first 24 minutes. Tanika Lala ran onto a long throw and finished in tidy fashion to put Ben Anderton's side ahead, before providing the assist for Olivia Trueman to apply a close-range finish.

But Garry Church's side hit back with two second half strikes to rescue a draw as NTC were made to rue missed opportunities to extend the lead. Janice Kiama slotted home her first senior NPL WA goal after Catherine Adams' header hit her and landed at her feet.

Then with a minute to play Jamie-Lee Gale crossed from the right and Mikayla Lyons lifted an effort. over Lily Bailey as the game ended all square.

Murdoch University Melville's clash with Perth was postponed.

Results: Balcatta 0-3 Perth RedStar, Hyundai NTC 2-2 Fremantle City, Subiaco 4-4 Curtin University. Postponed: MUM FC v Perth SC.
