Semi spots up for grabs

It's crunch time in the NPLWA - Men's Night Series with seven teams chasing three spots as they bid to join Stirling Macedonia in the semi-finals.
On Friday in Group A, Sorrento know a draw against Perth SC at Percy Doyle Reserve will be enough to reach the last four, while nothing but a win will do for the Azzurri. That game kicks off at 6.30pm, followed by Floreat Athena against Perth Glory in Group B (8.30pm). Athena will advance with a draw, while a win should be enough for Glory.
On Saturday, Frank Drago Reserve has two games from Group B. First it's Bayswater City against Gwelup Croatia at 5pm, with neither side able to progress. Then at 7pm, ECU Joondalup face Stirling. ECU's only chance of making the knockout stage is for Glory to win on Friday and for them to beat Stirling by a minimum of six goals.
Also on Saturday, a point will do for Group A leaders Inglewood United against Balcatta Etna, who require a win. The 5pm kick-off precedes the Armadale v Cockburn City match with both sides out of the running.
Last week in Group A, Inglewood beat Perth 4-1, Sorrento recovered from 2-0 down to defeat Armadale 6-2, while Balcatta thumped Cockburn 5-0. In Group B, Stirling made it four wins from four with a 3-0 victory over Gwelup, Bayswater chalked up their first win when beating Glory 1-0 while Floreat defeated ECU 3-1.
