Murdoch University Melville and Fremantle City have the luxury of knowing their places in the last four of the NPL - Women’s Night Series are in the bag ahead of the final round of group matches.

Two wins from two have guaranteed both sides a berth in the semi-finals, which will take place at Dorrien Gardens on Sunday, 1 March.

LADDERS

MUM will look to maintain their perfect run at the same venue this Saturday against hosts Perth SC.

The interest in Group A, therefore, is the game afterwards involving Northern Redbacks and Subiaco. Both have a win and a loss. But thanks to their superior goal difference, a draw will see Redbacks through.

In Group B, Fremantle City are in a similar position to MUM having picked up six points. Indeed Fremantle have yet to concede a goal going into their game with Curtin University on Saturday.

Before that is the battle to join Freo in the knockout stage, when Hyundai NTC take on Balcatta.

The two sides sit on three points and, as with Redbacks, NTC’s goal difference means they only need a draw to progress.
