The Eastern Blues will go into the contest confident that their elite international players will control the ball and convert the opportunities presented to their forwards. With stars like, Bowden, Frewen, Bradley and Burgess, four of Canterbury's most credentialled players and rising stars such as Blackler and Dickson, they will prove more than a handfull for the opposition. The Bulldogs can boast some of the best young talent in the country, with on-ballers Dow and Van Gruting, forwards, Williams and Stevenson and defender, Crighton. The test will be whether their experienced brigade of Andrews, Keating, Thornton and Howard can control the Blues' big guns.
If you want to see a cracking game of AFL, get down to Westminster Park this Saturday. The action kicks off at 12:30 for the play off for third place between the improving Eagles and the shell shocked Cougars, followed by the "big one" at 2:30.
