- NORTH WEST SYDNEY WOMEN'S FOOTBALL MINIROOS FOR GIRLS
ALDI Miniroo Football is modified, small sided, small field formats of football for junior players.
Miniroo Football is played over 6 age groups, divided into stages allowing players to play 2 years under the same rules and formats. Miniroo stages are u6 & u7s; u8s & u9s and u10 & u11s.
All Miniroo match programs are non-competitive with the focus being on progressive players skills development, game awareness, rules learning and fun anf fitness.
Do you know any girls 4-9 years of age who want to get into football (soccer) ?
The Aldi Miniroos Kickoff Program is an introduction to football (soccer) for girls (and boys) from 4-9 year olds who have not played football before. The program offers game based, small group skills sessions under the guidance of qualified and accredited coaches.
Gladesville Ravens Sports Club is running an 8 week program at Gladesville commencing on 11 October
Roselea FC is running a 6 week program at Carlingford commencing on Mon 23 October.

North West Sydney Womens Football will also be running Girls Miniroo Kickoff programs, commencing in November. Details coming soon.
NATIONAL PLAYING FORMATS and RULES
As communicated to Member Federations via FFA please find a snapshot of the key decisions as a result of the review:
I. Playing Formats will continue with 4-a-side, 7-a-side and 9-a-side as the standard formats for the U6/7, U8/9 and U10/11 respectively;
II. U12’s will continue as 11-a-side, however FFA supports Member Federations and Local Associations wishing to pilot 9-a-side at U12;Please note NWSWF will continue as 11 a side in our association for U12’s.
III. The size of the penalty area will increase from 5m x 12m to 10m x 20m in the U10’s and 11’s category (Minimum field size is 60m x 40m);
IV. U6/7 game duration will increase from 15min to 20min halves; and
I. Only ONE rule amendment: Attacking team will need to retreat at least 10m from all Goalkeeper restarts.
